I have my external hard drive connected to my airport extreme, and am accessing it over my network. When I create a new folder on my hard drive, it immediately disappears. If I add a file to my hard drive, it disappears. I know it got added though, because If I try to add it again it says that file already exists there. What's going on??

Thanks

edit: I never actually checked anything to hide files. I googled this but the only thing I saw involves terminal?

ensure your files do not begin with a dot (.)

Such files are regarded by OS X as hidden files.
