I thought I lost all my pictures from my macbook but at CVS today, all the pics showed up. I cant view them on my mbp or netbook though. I downloaded a program and it found the files but I have to pay. Is there a free data recovery software thats free?

There's a paid app, but I think you might have to pay for it
Jokes aside, you should be able to get your local Apple store to do a retrieval for you free of charge. Or use the tut from http://www.ifixit.com
