Hidden Keypad Feature?

So I was talking on the phone with my friend and randomly did this.

While in a call, hold down Keypad for about 4-5 seconds and it will automatically bring the keypad up.

Now the weird part, if you hold it down like I said, it adds a "Send" button.

Not sure what this does as I haven't messed around with it really, but thought I would share. Here's a pic:

That will put your current call on hold, and call the new number typed.

Huh, never noticed that. Guess it's cause I never really fiddle around with the screen while I'm making a call.

I guess this would be helpful for conferencing calls.

Hitting the hold button does the same thing

Isn't that the way to make a conference call as well?

Correction: Conference calls are made by pressing Add Call and Merge...sorry
