Hidden photos still displaying in iPhoto

I've noticed that my hidden photos are displaying when I click the "All Photos" album in Photos, but ARE hidden when I just hit the "Photos" album. It doesn't matter if I have the "show hidden album" option selected or not, the hidden photos still display in "All Photos".

And ideas on how to fix this?

I'm running Yosemite on a brand new MBP.

Your Photos app is not broken.
That is the way Apple designed it for some crazy reason. Here is an article that discusses this "feature":

Unfortunately, I do not know how to modify the way Apple designed it.
