I switched from android and I am curious as to ways you benefit with tips and tricks from iOS 8. Maybe some that are not so universal.

There's now an included Tips app in iOS 8 that has various tips and tricks in it.

The "all the little things" thread for iOS 8 here also contains quite a bit of that kind of information, as long as it is.

The deep hidden sequence of stuff in settings to get the triple three fingered tap to ultra dim the screen is tip of the year.

I don't know if this was available on iOS 7 or not, but I like voice command "Hey Siri" to start Siri. Only when plugged in to power supply, but in my car, it's perfect. Don't have to hold home button to activate her.

It's a new feature in iOS 8.
