Hello, I'm trying to find a way to clean up my documents folder (wich is filled with preference-folders). I would like to do this the way I'd normally do this on a Windows computer, simply going to the file preferences and ticking the 'hide folder' box. This kind of feature does not seem to be included with a Mac.

I've seen litterally numerous sites, apps, vids and whatever more that allows you to so-called "hide" your folder, but all that this practically does is rename it to ".FolderName" and rendering it useless for any preference-savings, because a lot of apps use absolute paths that can't be altered.

Does anyone know a way to de-clutter your documents folder?

This Xray app looks really good too me, but it says it has issues under Leopard. Did you have any problems with this, or do you run an older OS?
