I have an app that's really a background app, so I want to hide it when I do Cmd-Tab or the new four finger swipe. I've done a few searches, but can't figure out how to do it. Is there a plist setting to make it hide when switching apps?

Incidentally, I also tried Dockless to hide it from the dock, but it didn't appear to work, so I guess I need to play around manually with the plist settings.

Sorry, it turns out the dock hiding trick takes care of the app switcher too. It just took a reboot for some odd reason. Some cached file somewhere I guess.

You probably need the reboot to kill the Finder and Dock processes. They will only query the app once to see if it should be shown...
