I saw this today: http://lifehacker.com/5895817/accessmenubarapps-tames-your-menu-bar-on-small-screens

Is there an app that will always hide? Cause that app isn't persistant and doesn't always hide by default. Even sweeter, just show the app name "Chrome" and hide all other menus: file, edit, etc.?

I've been wanting this for years. I hate looking at menus I never use. If I needed to see/use them, they should make a simple unhide button, or show on mouse over menubar option.

I just don't get how minimalistic apple is yet you have to look at a long ugly menu for every app and no way to simply hide and show it.
