Hide Apps not in current space in CMD+Tab

How do you hide apps that are not currently open in the current space/desktop?

For example, I have evernote and chrome open in one space, but when I try to switch applications with cmd+tab, all applications even from other spaces show up, like mail. How do I stop this from happening?
