Does an app exist that hides all desktop icons in certian spaces? For example, I use space two for all my non-work things and would be great to hide the messy desktop this space.

Thanks much!

Am also searching for this! I use Desktop to store files/folders for things I am working on, but am working on different things so using Spaces. So would be good to have certain desktop icons appear on certain spaces to prevent Desktop clutter.

Partial Solution, maybe you'll find it to be acceptable

It's not specific to a space, it's global, but maybe it'll be close to what you are looking for

Try:
defaults write com.apple.finder CreateDesktop -bool false

To Revert:
defaults write com.apple.finder CreateDesktop -bool true

After trying either of the above changes, before to use:
killall Finder
to make the change take effect.
