Does anyone know of a way (maybe javascript) to mask email addresses from spam bots? I know of contact forms, captchas, using images, etc., to bypass the bots, but I'm looking for a way to list the email, and have it be clickable (such as mailto:), so that it would list an email and at the same time allow you to click it so that it will open up the visitor's email client.

Thanks, I'm looking for something like that, but it doesn't validate with XHTML Strict. Are there any others that might?

I just validated the script output of that link and it validated just fine. XHTML 1.0 Strict, XHTML 1.1, and HTML 5 were all in the green.

Are you sure it's not something else on your page that's not validating?
