Hello all,
I have been doing research and all I have found regarding the hiding of files in Finder is on a file by file basis, be it by setting attributes in terminal or by adding the period as a prefix.
What I would like to do is hide all files of a certain type, based on their extension. i.e. hide all .ini files, etc.
Similarly, is there some way to have the Finder read and apply attributes set on the Windows OS? Example, all Thumbs.db files show up in the finder when browsing network shares; these files are hidden in Windows by default.
I realize the OSes use different approaches; I am just hoping there are some tricks to get more control of the way Finder displays things.
Thank you very much.
