"Hide from Followers" on Find Friends app keeps turning off

I can't figure this out for the life of me...when I turn the "Hide from Followers" toggle switch to ON in the Find Friends app, over the next hour or two it turns itself off, making myself findable again. What the heck??

Its not going to let you Spawn camp so its giving away your location.

First, I'd report to Apple, sorry, haven't seen that happen. Why not just logout of your account for a while if the Hide isn't letting you hide?

My understanding is if you log out of the account you are still findable.
