I have an image I mount every time a startup. I don't use it myself - it's for a program I use.

Is there any way to hide just this mount drive from my desktop (I still want other mount drives to appear)

My guess would be to try and prefix the mount drive with a period (.myimage) or set the hidden flag "chflags hidden myimage" to hide the Volume and then create a shortcut somewhere to get easy access to it via finder.

I'm not 100% that works with mounted images but I assume it should.
