My current setup is this:

My iTunes and iPhoto libraries are on my TimeCapsule, so I can access them from any of my Macs (MacMini, iMac and Retina MacBook, running 10.9.2, fresh install).

I've mounted the volume and dragged the folder to my Login Items, so it can be re-mounted automatically. Then I created a pair of symbolic links from the mounted shares to the local Music and Pictures folders, so iTunes and iPhoto can use the remote libraries.

So far it works like a charm, but... even though I checked the Hide option on Login Items, whenever I reboot the mounted shares 'pop up' in Finder first thing after I log in.

Is there any way to prevent this? I thought the 'Hide' option did exactly that.

Thanks in advance.
