Hi!

In Aperture, I can create a completely separate Library where I can put images that I don't want just anybody to see. I can put that Library in any directory or drive, and access it by pointing Aperture to it.

Is this possible in Lightroom? I believe LR creates "catalogues" that are more like previews of the actual image files. The catalogues still show up even after access to that directory/drive is no longer possible. There probably is a "hide" button in LR that allows on to hide certain photos, but I don't want a system where anybody that knows how to click on "unhide" can see the photos I'm trying to keep to myself.

Thanks!

You can have as many catalogues as you like, but only one open at a time.

Just hold the Option key when you start Lightroom for a dialogue.

Thanks, FourCandles.

I'll try that out in my demo version of LR 3.

Thanks again!-
