Hi guys! Before posting this thread I did search the Forum but I couldn't find an answer to this problem of mine; so here it goes:

How do you hide file extensions (for all types of files) in Snow Leopard?

I'm not really a fan of file extensions, and I would prefer not seeing *.docx, *.jpg, *.mp3, etc.

Thanks in advance! ;)

One way:

But it may be too much hassle, as you have to do it with every file.
But you can select several files and and open the Get Info window via CMD+OPTION/ALT+I and then click Hide Extension.

Thanks! Yup, the solution is indeed a bit of a hassle since I would still have to do that for all the new files that I have created or downloaded.

I was hoping there was an option similar to the one in Windows where you can just show and hide all file extensions at once. Well, thanks, again! :)
