Hiding Icons from Dock

I have just downloaded an alarm program called Awaken which i will be using as my alarm in the mornings but its always in my dock cluttering it up is there anyway that i can have a program running without it showing in the dock?

you could try Dockless. I am using it on Leopard right now and it seems to be working just fine.
