Hiding photos?

Is there a app where I can hide photos on my MBP?

I know about iPhoto but that is basically not doing anything as it is so easy to unhide them.

I need a way it won't pop up in the recent files if possible.

It's my PC but that won't stop people from using it from time to time

Another option would be TrueCrypt.
