haha i know i know i just need to hide the files from prying eyes. i already have jailbreaked my phone so now what.

Please explain as to why you need to hide it. Just protect your iPod with a password if you're paranoid.

well I don't want anyone to find it I know a way to hide files so how do u do it?

Does the fact that you want to hide your pron browsing history not point out to you that you know its a sick 'hobby' and if you found someone else's browsing history had pron on it you'd judge them???

It apparently takes 2 weeks to get out of a habit...

This thread is ridiculous on several levels. For one, OP, spend more than half of a second thinking about what you're going to post, and then try your best to use proper grammar and spelling so that we can figure out what you're trying to say. This quote is just ridiculous...

Second, the holier than thou attitude taken by the other people posting in this thread is downright offensive. Let's examine this shall we?

  1. Get a Girlfriend
  2. Why do you need PORN on an iPOD zomg!
  3. Share it, don't hide it!
  4. Password protect iPod
  5. Get a girlfriend!
  6. Password protect iPod
  7. YOU'RE SICK AND HAVE A SICK HOBBY! BREAK YOUR HABIT PORN IS WRONG!

Who are you to judge this guy for having porn on his iPod, especially you bsheridan? You came off as downright rude, and regardless of whether or not any of you were joking, this (probably a kid) came on the forum to ask for help, and instead you made fun of him and ridiculed his "hobby".

Discretion. Since when was p0rn and gf's ever mutually incompatible. Lol - people need to get out more. Since when was your gf not checking out porn too ;)

Think of it this way jsbarone,
Say you have an iPhone, you were looking at porn, now you have porn in your browsing history. Now you do not want someone to see what you were looking at, why? Possibly because they might confront you about it, which you try to avoid because it is an embarrassing situation. But why is it an embarrassing situation? You know it is not exactly something you'd want to talk about, hence you're not proud of it, hence you may regret doing it which is how I justify myself in calling it sick.

Now say you found the browsing history on someone else's phone. You would probably then have an opinion about them even if it's just to jibe and make them embarrassed. Next time you saw that person, 'they were looking at porn' would pop into your head no doubt.

I'm not going to debate the morals of the porn industry here nor was my previous post a dig at the OP, I was merely describing a hypothetical situation that the OP is now in.
I apologize if I've offended anyone here.

As porn is big business for big media companies (like Time Warner and Comcast), I'd say it's more than just a "bad habit." It's a national past-time!

it amazes me how people can take a simple, technical question and use it as an opportunity to start moralizing. Either answer the question or don't. Nobody asked you to get on your high horse.

People also don't usually talk about the intricacies of their sex lives, going to the bathroom or picking their nose due to embarrassment. Do you call those people "sick," too? Should we all be proud nose-pickers?

Some things are meant to be private, there's nothing embarrassing about wanting a little privacy despite the invasive world we currently live in.

will that program hide any type of folder or file or just pictures? its not just porn I want to keep hidden.. hey porns on tv everyday on most shows its just low grade porn so unless u never watch tv keep the opinions to yourself thanks.

Here's an idea that I stumbled upon by accident: Turn on Parental Controls and set it so that "explicit" is OFF. Then tag anything (that is in iTunes) that you don't want someone to see as explicit. Voila, it is now invisible. If you want to see it, open parental controls and turn explicit back on. Have fun ;)

None of us should ever be judgmental toward another person, but what happened to the freedom to speak and express yourself -- isn't that a right we all have? True, it doesn't address the original poster's question, but we all have a right to comment and say what's on our mind.

Interesting. So, "high" being better than low, you freely admit that considering porn usage to be immoral is accurate. You're actually agreeing with the other poster, but you're pissed about it. You must have to hide your porn, too.

Having not watched television since January of this year, I ask you; what is "low-grade" porn?

Free porn.
