Hiding unwanted updates...

I earlier systems, High Sierra, Sierra etc it was easy to select and hide updates you did not want at the present time.
I cannot find a similar function in Mojave which is telling me that Catalina is available, so I'm stuck with this badged icon in my Dock.

Anyone know of a way to get rid of the badge?

Enter the following into Terminal:

defaults write com.apple.systempreferences AttentionPrefBundleIDs 0 && killall Dock

If you reboot your computer you'll need to reenter it.
