Hi all recently purchased the rMBP 2018 from Apple and since earlier this year I've noticed that a) I get random shut downs b) My CPU usage seems to be spiking. Below is a screenshot, particular softwares that trigger this is Lightroom and Photoshop. The below screenshots are taken after a restart.

It is not unusual that there is spike of cpu system (kernel) activity immediately after restart. It should drop down to very low levels after 5-10 minutes. Can you catch what process is spiking later on? That would be lot more informative.

This is a beast of machines - and very new one. If you have such issues that it randomly shuts down, may be better is to take it to Apple and ask them to look at it. Apple computers DO NOT randomly shut down unless something is really, really wrong. You paid a lot for this beast - more than enough for Apple to fix this for you. Or may be replace the machine.
