Do you think that due to the high demand for the iPhone 4 that this could lead to a rush in production and lead to low quality/poorly assembled hardware?

To an extent. I doubt that it would effect more than a handful of phones though.

Have you touched an iPhone 4? It's probably the most solidly built phone i've ever handled.

The 3G/3GS had a low quality/poorly assembled hardware (exterior-wise), to many people's fear that it's now a mass production device. The iP4 has the best build quality since the original iPhone.

Yeah, but a new design coupled with massive demand, a madly rushed production and the paranoia of Steve Jobs == high average failure rate. I don't really have any problems with mine, but many people seem to. As for the materials and build construction, it feels more durable than the 3G did, even if the back crystal is more brittle than plastic.

The numbers just don't back up the "many people" statement.
Best built, best reception, best looking phone I've ever owned.

The iPhone is the BEST quality phone you can currently acquire.

Dude, he means quality control. Like how there are problems with yellow screen, green blob, proximity sensors, and the antena. And I also don't think he's singling out the iPhone, just wondering if the high demand has caused the lower than usual quality control.

Build-wise, the iPhone 4 is solid as a rock. My Android phone slightly rattles when picked up (most likely due to the vibrator.) The iPhone feels like a high quality product.
