I'll use it as my primary computer to browse, write Word docs, Music, Videos, occasional photo editing etc...

I have a huge collection of Full HD movies that I'll store in a separate NAS but that I would be playing on my LCD screen via the laptop.

My concern about the MBP is related to the HDD speed, Thunderbolt and Screen resolution.

My concerns about the MBA are SSD capacity, processor speed and RAM.

Not really into GPU as I don't do anything 3D or gaming.

What do you guys reckon is better for the activities described above? 15" is out of question as I find it too big for my taste. :apple:

Btw, I'm upgrading from a MacBook white 2007 and a Sony VAIO 16.4" with Full HD, Core i7... the biggest piece of crap ever.... spent 2,500 bucks less than a year ago and I regret every second... just sold it on eBay for 1k. The White macbook is going on eBay this week...

The MBA cpu's are now almost 4-5 years old. Why bother?

Just upgrade the MBP to a good SSD and move on.

As pretty as the MBA is, unfortunately it is one generation away from being a mature product.

But if I had to buy today, I'd definitely be hitting up the MBP. ;)
