Can the High end MBA w/ i7 1.8 dual core processor handle

Final Cut pro
Logic pro
Photoshop
Basic Web design

I would not be running these programs at the same time but I'm wondering how the High end MBA would hold up... Heat? Lag? etc.

Thanks!

I can't speak for FCP or Logic, but there's no reason it can't run photoshop well. There have actually been threads in here with people stating how good it ran. Maybe some heavy filters on 4000k pixel images may be a bit taxing, but that's at the high end.

Basic web design is not taxing at all. It's just text editing, maybe a layout viewer like iWeb or Dreamweaver. The only thing that may cause strain is running a local database for testing, but MySQL or PostgreSQL aren't taxing, especially with a small DB.

Photoshop is smooth on a BASE 13" MBA. I'm using Illustrator at the same time, and 3D Rendering is surprisingly fast. Final Cut Pro seems like it'll have a small hiccup, I'll have to try that later.

If the i5 Macbook Air is benchmarked faster then all of the core2duo Macbook Pros of the past, it can run all those programs well.

Well I can do photoshop and web design without a hitch on my macbook pro.....with a core duo from 2006. The new air wont have any problems in that area.

Web design (including photoshop). You dont even need 1gb of ram. I manage to do it on a 10 year old windows xp with 256mb of ram without photoshop of course.
