Im getting a 7026 geekbench score for my 2012 11' Air.

This seems rather high, way above geekbenchs own rating for the machine at 5000 something.

Any ideas as to why im getting such a different result?

EDIT - I just noticed the geekbench score for the 11' on their site is for the i5 (at 5716). They do not have a rating for the 11' i7. They do however have a score of 6810 for the 13' air i7.

do u have the core i7 2.0ghz proc?

if so, then the score is close:

MacBook Air (11-inch Mid 2012)
Intel Core i7-3667U 2000 MHz (2 cores)
6899

All, please include whether you're running 64 bit or 32 bit geekbench otherwise any comparisons are meaningless.

nope, not at all, I get 6800 from an i7 2011

sounds about right to me, the 2011 15" pros get around 10-11,000 from memory and although the new core i7 3xxx is only dual core in the air, the new generation is say 20% faster clock for clock... its in the ballpark.

pretty sure geekbench has the 11" with an i7 around 7000

edit: yeah over 7000

with my 13" 2.0 i7, 8gig, I am getting under 7,000... About 6980 with the air running on power, and 6880 when running off of the battery.
