High Performance Screen Sharing and Remote Audio Devices

Hello All:

I am attempting the following with both Mac computers operating under MacOS 14.1.1. I have a file open on an audio editing program (Acon Digital Acoustica) that I am using a 2021 16MBP. I am connected remotely to the 16MBP with my 2022 MBA via High Performance Screen Sharing. To the MBA, I have an audio interface (Sound Device MixPre 3ii) connected so I edit the audio file on the host computer.

This is what I have observed and done:

1. The audio editing program does not recognize the remote audio interface.
2. Audio Midi is set up on the MBA so that it uses the audio interface.

I am able to hear sound from the remote computer through the speakers on the MBA. However, I am unable to route the sound on the MBA through the audio interface. I would like to hear sound through the audio interface on the remote computer.

Anyone know how to make this happen?
