So I ended up getting a new iPhone today (Black 32GB). I have been playing around with the video camera and I notice while recording (and while in playback) a rather obnoxious high pitch whine. The noise does not stop but maintains the same consistent high pitch whine.

Anyone else?

Mine makes a small tone after sending an SMS message, and listening to audio from MLB... Its a really high pitched noise and hard to detect if you arent listening for it. Send an SMS to someone and put your phone to your ear...

I second this. Lasts for about 5 seconds after the "Sent SMS" tone.

Edit: I second the 'video record' whine too.

Yep, I have the whine. I hear it after sending an SMS and taking video. I'll see how this plays out (if there's a software update or something) before I worry about it. I can only hear it if I'm listening for it.

You can put the phone on silent node and it will fix the ringing problem. Mine does the same thing and if you put it on silent it stops the high pitched noise in the video.
