High-pitched sound

My late 2008 aluminum Macbook is producing a noticeable high-pitched (or high-frequency) sound. I can't quite tell where it is coming from but think it could be coming from the area near the SSD I installed. The sound is not constant, but is more like fast "beeps" at various intervals. I have no idea what could be causing this, or how to fix it, but it is annoying.

Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.
