Hi!

I was wondering if anybody has a suggestion for a high-powered (200mw) wireless network card for the macbook pro.

I couldn't find one for the expresscard slot, and I did find a USB one made by Engenius. However, it seems like there may not be a driver for it.

If anybody has a suggestion, please let me know!

Thanks,
Mike

No such thing.

The only wireless card that will work is the Apple card that was installed when you received your MacBook Pro from Apple.

There are a lot of wireless cards out there, but I don't believe any of them are Mac compatible.

Something for the express card slot, I don't know.

But why do you feel the need for a super powered wireless card? What's driving your thinking.

There are definitely compatible CardBus cards, which of course won't work in MBPs, but do work in PowerBooks. I don't know about ExpressCards, but as long as it uses the same chipset it should work. The challenge is finding out if it does, since this info is usually not on the box.

I'm not getting great reception from mine in certain locations, and will frequently drop the connection.

I figured, more power and an external antenna would resolve my problem.
