Heads up, this will be a rant thread

So I experienced really bizarre issues after I upgraded my Mid-2014 Macbook to High Sierra: https://apple.stackexchange.com/que...ok-swollen-after-high-sierra-what-should-i-do

I bought a new Macbook afterwards (Mid-2017, Radeon Pro 560), and started a consumer rights battle for the old one

I assumed the issue / possible bugs that caused it would be rare and non occurring (these happened at 10.13.1)

Now, with the new Macbook, with an AMD gpu rather than Nvidia, I'm starting to experience similar GPU issues, there's an obvious GPU memory leak that XRG demonstrates, this thread documents it well: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8150105 (using an external Dell P2415Q screen)

What happens: I don't know how many GPU bugs there are, but basically, the leaks accumulate, and while you are doing nothing, your GPU starts working at full capacity, and your device goes through an enormous amount of stress, that would normally never happen, and this stress wrecks the device eventually

Now, what I don't understand is, these issues are widely reported, there are numerous "Window Server" / "Scaling GPU Leak" threads on Apple's forums, how is this issue still present in 10.13.2

I definitely consider myself an idiot for still using Apple products
