Can you get to the Recovery system? Hold down Command-R when clicking the power button, and keep holding it until you hear the startup chime and/or see the boot progress indicator to get into the Recovery system. If you can get there you can run Disk Utility and it can tell you if something is wrong with the internal storage. A Mac that shows what yours is showing usually either has a corrupted OS, or failed internal storage. But if you can boot to Recovery then that could tell you what is wrong. Otherwise, and honestly even if Recovery works, go bring it in to an Apple Store to have a Genius look at it.
