High Sierra trying to connect to AppleTV randomly

I've noticed tonight that my Macbook Air is trying to connect to AirPlay--something I have no real knowledge of. The Icon will come and go off of my top bar. I am running High Sierra right now, and I'm wondering if this is normal behavior or if I'm potentially being compromised. I've never noticed it before. But I'm not in my normal environment and staying in a different city, could it be that there's an Apple TV around me, and it's just letting me know with the "show mirroring options when available? I also included a picture of my preferences.
