High Temperatures while running macOS Catalina

Has anyone noticed that their Mac runs a lot slower and at a high temperature in macOS Catalina? I have a 2019 MacBook Pro with 16GB of RAM and a 2.4GHz quad‑core 8th‑generation Intel Core i5 processor, Turbo Boost up to 4.1GHz and I’ve noticed my Mac gets really warm even when not running anything processor intensive.

I noticed that in the first two days, now after a week it seems to have simmered down. I think what was happening that the system was re-indexing the files.
