ive been a pc user all my life until last week when i got an imac and im still learning how to use it. how do you highlight files you want to select just like how you do in windows when you hit shift key and the arrow key? it does but it highlights it one by one and i have to keep on hitting the arrow key. thanks.

Hold the command key and select the files you want. Or select the first file you want and then hold the shift key and click the last one, and it will select all the ones in between. :D
thanks for the quick reply but it doesnt work when i use it in finder. although i can do that in iphoto and aperture.

EDIT: i can do that (shift key and click) if i have it displayed in grid view (2nd view option) but not with the view option before that.
