Hi,

I'm thinking of buying an Apple Watch. One feature I loved on my Microsoft Band was the ability to view a hill profile of any hike undertaken and then map it to current heart rate (see image below).

Is this possible on the Apple? I believe it can track elevation, but I haven't seen any graphic showing the profile.

Many thanks!

Not with the Workout app. there may be a 3ed party app that can but don't know of any. You will only see total Elevation Gain in Meters or Feet.

The app Workoutdoors will show you that on the iphone, so can display both the elevation profile with your heartrate over the top. Because it also shows the map of what you hike, in a larger window, the actual window displaying elevation/heartrate is smaller at the bottom. But Workoutdoors also lets you scroll through the hike showing your map position, as well as elevation and HR and lots of other data points, at each moment in time.

ismoothrun can do it.

This is how it looks in-app.

And this is how it looks when imported to Garmin connect (iPhone)

Thanks for your all replies. Very much appreciated! Looks like I can find something similar in 3rd party apps. Cheers!
