Just got a new MBP and I've noticed that when the lid is closed, at the back there's about 1/16" gap between the body and lid on the right side. The gap on the left side is what I'd expect, maybe 1/3 of the gap on the right. It's noticeable from the front, too. The right side of the lid is up against the stop in the latch.

Is this a common problem? Am I being too picky? I'm 90 miles from the Apple Store, so I'd hate to drive all that way to find out they won't swap it.

Otherwise, it seems perfect. No dead pixels :)

Just call AppleCare. They have a service to pick up your computer, or they will just replace it since it is brand new. Just tell them that you just bought it, you live 90 miles away from the nearest store, and you are unsatisfied. They will probably ship you out a new one overnight.

I don't think Apple will do that.

I suggest you just live with it. Why are you looking at it when it's closed, anyway?
