I finally got a high-end 15 inch MacBook Pro today and I also got an Incase Perforated Hardshell case for it. However, now whenever I open the lid, I feel that there is a 'pop'. Is this OK or will it eventually cause some kind of wear on the hinge and/or components in the hinge? Or am I the only one experiencing this with a hard case on?

My inCase hardshell ruined my previous gen MBP (non-unibody). The extra weight blew out my hinges and slowly snapped my screen. When the screen finally went Apple said tough luck and inCase never responded. Keep it naked, take care of it and stay away from anything that makes anything else 'pop'.

Oh wow. Thank you. I just took that case off and I am definitely gonna return it tomorrow. What about like the Speck cases? I know a ton of people have those. I really don't want to leave it naked because I am kinda OCD about it getting dented
