iOS Hiring an artist?

I would imagine this is a common question but I couldn't find much about it searching the forums.

Have any of the developers here hired an artist to draw the artwork for their app?

If so,

• how did you find the artist?
• how much did it cost? (hourly rate or fixed price)
• how did you license the artwork?

I'm not talking about icons or anything like that; I'm interested in graphic novel style artwork, like The Watchmen or Sin City.

My friend is based in London and does the kind of work it seems your looking for (lucky i spotted this i suppose). Check out his website if you like and PM me if you want his email or anything, i know hes usually looking for projects!
