Hi Everyone. I noticed the part 2 of the Apple Work At Home Thread was quite long and I had a very specific question about the hiring process so I made a new thread.
I just finished the second interview yesterday. The process thus far went from applying, getting a response back in only 4 days, they asked for a formal resume so I emailed the lady back with it, they called me back within 2 hours and did a phone interview. Then they offered a Skype interview.
Yesterday was the Skype interview. At the end of it the lady said if I had any questions. I asked "When will I know if I have advanced, how long generally does that take" and she said "Oh that's a great question, usually it takes a week to a week and a half because the Team Manager has to pick who he wants."
I wasn't sure if this was patio-generic "thank you but no thank you" or if it does take this long. I felt a bit awkward because generally in interviews I can sense a feeling of excitement from people when they like me, like the first lady, she just beamed excitement. This lady didn't seem to either like or dislike me so I was confused as to what it meant.
When I did a little bit of research I do see someone said he or she was told that day on the 2nd interview that he or she advanced, and that's with he or she not knowing the answers to the questions. In fact I messed up the same question the poster did, IMAP/POP email question.
The thing that makes me think the lady was being honest that it really is going to take a week is that everyone seems to have went through a slightly different process. My friend who recommended the job to me said it took her 6 weeks to even get her first interview, then the second interview took another 2 weeks to hear anything back.
I am just looking for some guidance to see if I need to be looking else where for employment or if I should stick it out.
Thank you everyone!
