History on iPhone 4S safari?

Im not sure if this is the right place to ask but, How long does iPhone 4S safari history of visited sites last?

I assume day by day but seeing as it's still Sunday here and I just checked, I'm not sure.

I don't know about the one week (sounds about right) but it wouldn't delete items younger than that timespan whenever the deletion operation takes place (which may be day by day, or a check against a timestamp when Safari is launched, part of an OS-level maintenance routine, whatever).
