I've got the 2008 uni. Mbp, which I think has the death click.
Before you say it's the HDD sensor stopping because of movement, it's not.

I posted a thread before I realized what it might be, I just wanted to know if anybody else has had this experience, and what they did about it.

If your Hitachi drive is dying, contact Hitachi and get a replacement drive. Their drives should have a 3-5 year warranty.

I don't really like Hitachi drives, but I think when it dies I'll get a ocz ssd, and use an external drive as extra files.
