I bought a Hitachi DeskStar P7K500 hard disk and a MacAlly Enclosure (PHR-100A USB).

Silly me ... the connectors don't match. Now I see, the Hitachi is a SATA drive and the MacAlly is made to accommodate a IDE (PATA).

Will it work if I just get a SATA to IDE adaptor? Or should I return the MacAlly Enclosure for one made for SATAs?

Thanks.
