I called AT&T and I was curious about if the $325dollar new termination policy slowly drops from month to month. Before, i think it was 5-10 bucks a month until the ETF reaches $50 dollars and then its 50 from the end of the contract. Alot of carriers do this.

But when I asked how much my early termination fee is...he said $150. Then i asked, are you aware that I signed a new contract on the 24th of june when i purchased an iphone ?

He said "yes, I see that you have been extended your contract and your contract ends in 2012. "

Hmmmm interesting? Do you guys have the $325early termination fee?

The new fee is 325 not 450

And your still within 30 days of signing a new contract so it's not going to reflect the new 325 price until after your first 30 days has passed.

And yes I worked for AT&T for quite a while so I would know.

Okay thanks.

Huh, that's weird. Maybe something messed up in their system, because the $150 ETF is for feature phones and $325 for smartphones.

It's already been mentioned above. The new ETF doesn't kick in until the 30 trial period is up.

Wonders if people annoy the gas or electric or cable company the way they do their cellular providers.
