I just stumbled accross a story on National Geographic's website about a new Bigfoot or Nessie. This is Hogzilla. It's a one thousand pound pig, larger than any previously recorded domestic pig. Watch the video to see it.

Hogzilla.

Oink. Oink.

I can't get the video to work for me here at work for whatever reason. This is actually a really old story though. The guy who shot it buried it, people said he faked it, they went and found the body. When it was measured it wasn't quite as big as he said, but decay might have had something to do with that. Its a really amazing photograph. Though I bet that if you go back far enough, pigs of that size probably weren't that rare. They can be truly gigantic animals.

Haha, yeah, when I read the first sentence, I was still thinking, why would National Geographic be covering the Mozilla foundation? :D

God, we're such d0rks!

Goodness gracious... 12 feet long weighing in at around 1,000 lbs. The guy was lucky he didn't get hurt trying to take that piggy down.

Don't feel bad the first thing I thought of was a world of warcraft quests

"Woo oot I darn dun 1 shotted princess!!" man I need a life

i saw another show about that, apparently when they dug up "hogzilla" (skeptics of course wanted more than a couple guys' word for it) it was not nearly as big as they said it was, BIG, but not as big as the claims. even from the pics you can tell it is not 12 feet as they said. it's gross and weird but as usual, an exaggeration. "it was thiiiiiiiiiiiiis big i tell ya..." fish stories, pig stories... ;)

Can you imaging playing oil the pig and trying to catch something like that. I think that I would prefer to loose. If he fell and you didn't get out of the way it would be all over.

It's a game that is sometimes played at a rodeo. Usually used with small pigs. A thing just for fun. Not sure the reason for your comment.

Guess that they don't "oil the pig" down in Australia.
