Holding shift while maximizing a minimized app.

Has anyone noticed that when you hold down shift while maximizing a an app that was minimized to the dock it opens super slow, it's actually pretty cool but not if you need it opened fast. Maybe people know about this, maybe not.

Yep, it's fairly well known.

You can actually do this with nearly any animation in the UI - minimizing and maximizing, Mission Control, etc.

btw: holding down the alt key while minimizing a window, will minimize all opened windows of your application. holding down the alt key while clicking on the icon in the dock will restore all windows again.

I just wish there was a key I could hold down to speed up (or eliminate) animations, especially for such things as entering/leaving full screen and flipping pages of the Calendar.
