I just want to make sure I understand this right.

If we buy a product off Apple Online store after 1st November, we have until January to return it... Even if it has been opened and used?

Yes it's true it's states it on your invoice

Items purchased at the Apple Online Store that are received between November 1, 2013 and December 25, 2013, may be returned through January 7, 2014.
