Holiday return policy

On the apple website the return policy states that if you purchase an item between Nov 10- Dec 25 we have up until Jan 8 to return. It specifically states the "apple online store" does this mean I cannot purchase an item for express pickup at my local apple store and have the extended time to return it? thanks
