Coming from Windows i have to say the Safari Reader Function is awesome !

i can read text pages, blogs, news etc. without ads and with good formatting!
And the best part Printing from Reader (to paper or .pdf)! better to read (as already stated above) and also better for handing printed webpages to friends.

Are there any other hidden functions i should definitely know as a windows user?

I agree, a very under used feature for me, whenever I use it I think it's amazing but I keep forgetting to!

As an occasional FireFox or Chrome user (sometimes by necessity), I'm always glad to come back to Safari, perhaps because I'm more intimately familiar with it, and it feels like 'home'. And yes 'Reader' when available, is great!

Of course not, I was just wondering when I saw the words without and ads in context with the Reader.

Gotcha, I use reader mostly because it does a beautiful job of reformatting everything, I LOVE it on my iPad. I use Safari exclusively because I can start reading an article, use reading list, and pick up exactly where I was mid paragraph.

I know you can get the same results using extensions and add ons with firefox or chrome, but I really can't be bothered to go out of my way to do it.

Agreed... that is a great feature. I use the extension CustomReader to tweak the way Reader displays the page.
