Hello,

About a week ago, a couple of icons mysteriously showed up on my desktop - one is called "home" and one is "net". I can't do anything with them. Where did they come from, and how can I get them to go away?

I can't remember doing anything unusual before they showed up...

Here's the screenshot, along with a finder window showing the two items, which are up in the top right of the screen.

You sure you didn't install a haxie or use a "maintenance" utility (I quote that because they aren't necessary for maintenance and more often than not mess up your machine).

No, I'm not sure. I do have MacJanitor, and maybe I ran it - I don't remember. Could that have caused this? And if so, how can I fix it?

Hey, can you do another screenshot which shows "Get Info" info on both icons.

Use cmd+i to get the info panels, and also make the new screenshot with better resolution :p

Screen shot of same icons

I have the same icons on my desktop. Here is a screen shot.

I recently installed a Seagate Free Agent external drive and also have been reinstalling PHP and MySQL and mySQLAdmin on my MacBook Pro OS X 10.5.

Any help on what is loading these up on my desktop would be much appreciated.

Peter
